Flying cattle class; hot, hot, hot; Into Adulthood

Taking the economy (or coach) class on a trans-pacific 27 hour flight is always a nightmare.  Packed like cattle, with horrible leg room and crying babies. The restroom(s), well, you really wouldn’t want to use it after some 3 – 4 hours. Let’s just say some people cannot aim (applies to both solid and liquid wastes).

The weather is always a problem. Sweat oozes out of my pores the moment I step out of the shower. I wonder how I survived NS. Powder baths?

There seems to have more and more people on this island. Am starting to feel a little claustrophobic (and homophobic). Long time friends I had met up with over the weekend are all complaining about their work. Scholars or not. (It’s not a career, it’s just there to pay our bills) I have also found out I missed out on a lot of wedding dinners.

A JC ex-classmate shelled out S$435,000 for her 5 room flat in Bishan. (30-year housing loan) Wow.

I can’t wait to return to the US. I have quite enough here, thank you.

I wonder how I’ll fair in Singapore myself. Granted it’s expensive just like other cities, but is it worth it?

    Heh… my sentiments exactly.

I’ve always strived to get the emergency exit seats on long haul flights (and short flights, sometimes). I had these seats for the Detroit-Narita flight last year in both directions. Helps a lot. I still dislike long flights.

I also wonder how I survived Singapore’s humidity. I had no problems adjusting to the altitute and dryness when I moved out here.
